Home cinema packages in Dubai

Not every cinema needs the same room. We offer three levels, so you and your designer can choose the right one before the walls go up: a Media Room, a Dedicated Cinema and a Reference Cinema.

For each, this page sets out what is typically included, what the room needs and how we work. Every project is surveyed and quoted individually.

The three packages at a glance

Media Room

  • What it is: A living space with a large screen and proper sound

  • Best for: Family rooms, apartments, spare rooms

  • Room: Shared room

  • Plan it: Before joinery and electrics

Dedicated Cinema

  • What it is: A room built for film

  • Best for: Villas with a room to give over to cinema

  • Room: Dedicated, enclosed room

  • Plan it: Before walls and ceilings

Reference Cinema

  • What it is: The highest level of picture, sound and room design

  • Best for: Villas where the cinema is a feature of the home

  • Room: Dedicated room, planned from the structure out

  • Plan it: At concept or design stage

Pricing for every package is on survey.

Media Room

A room that works as a living space and as a cinema. The screen is large, the sound is clear, and the room still feels like part of the home.

Typically included

  • A large premium display, or a projector and screen, set flush or hidden.

  • Discreet speakers, in the wall or ceiling, positioned with the joinery.

  • Sources and equipment in a ventilated cabinet or cupboard.

  • Lighting and shading scenes, so the room changes with one press.

  • One-touch control, on Control4 where the home uses it.

What the room needs

  • Control of daylight, usually blinds or curtains.

  • Speaker and screen positions agreed with the interior designer and joiner.

  • Power and data to the screen wall, and cable routes to the equipment.

  • A cupboard or cabinet with ventilation for the equipment.

Dedicated Cinema

A room built for film. It is enclosed, darkened and acoustically treated, with seating placed for the screen.

Typically included

  • A projector and screen, or a large-format display, sized to the room and the seating.

  • Immersive surround sound, with speakers placed for the seating layout.

  • Acoustic treatment, built into the finishes.

  • Cinema seating, laid out for sightlines. See cinema seating.

  • Lighting scenes, and optional feature ceilings or LED detailing.

  • Control of picture, sound, lighting and shading from one remote, on Control4 where the home uses it.

  • Equipment in a ventilated rack or room, with clean cable management.

  • A drawing pack issued before site work: floor plan, ceiling plan, elevations, rack layout and cable schedule.

  • Calibration and testing before handover.

What the room needs

  • A dedicated room with controlled light.

  • Walls, doors and ceiling built with sound in mind, agreed with your contractor.

  • Enough ceiling height for the projector or any tiered seating.

  • Quiet air-conditioning routes, so the cooling does not reach the room as noise.

  • A ventilated space for the equipment, and power and data routed to it.

Reference Cinema

The highest level, designed from the structure outwards. It suits a client who wants the cinema to be a feature of the home and who will plan for it from the start.

Typically included

  • Everything in the Dedicated Cinema.

  • Acoustic design planned with the room's construction from the outset, with room-within-a-room construction where isolation matters.

  • Reference-grade processing and calibration.

  • A premium projection chain or a large-format display. We set projection and LED side by side for your room and recommend one. See LED video walls.

  • A bespoke seating and screen layout drawn to your room.

  • Coordination with your architect, interior designer and contractor from concept stage.

  • A full drawing and documentation pack, issued before site work and revised on site, so designer, joiner, M&E and contractor all work from one source.

  • A full handover with training.

  • A service plan for the system after handover.

What the room needs

  • Planning at concept or design stage, before the slab, walls and ceilings are fixed.

  • Structure and construction agreed for sound isolation and equipment weight.

  • A dedicated, cooled equipment room.

  • Power and data planned to the screen wall, the equipment room and the ceiling.

Choosing a package

  • Is it a living space as well? Start with the Media Room.

  • Is there a room you can give over to film? The Dedicated Cinema.

  • Is the cinema a feature of the home, and is the build still at design stage? The Reference Cinema.

  • Not sure? Send us the plans. We will tell you which package the room supports.

How we work

  1. Consultation. We learn how you will use the room and what you want from it.

  2. Survey or drawing review. We visit, or review your drawings, and check the room, the structure, the power and the routes.

  3. Design and specification. We prepare the layouts, the drawing pack and an equipment schedule, and quote line by line. What we draw is what gets built: seating, speakers, screen and joinery are measured into the room before anything is cut.

  4. Coordination. We work alongside your interior designer, architect and contractor, so the AV and the room are planned together.

  5. Installation. Our team installs the system with clean cabling and discreet finishes.

  6. Calibration and commissioning. We set up and test picture, sound and control.

  7. Handover and support. We walk you through the room, leave clear documentation and offer a service plan.

Equipment we work with

We choose equipment for reliability, supportability and service, not novelty. Control is on Control4 or Crestron, with Lutron lighting. For picture and sound we work with platforms such as JVC and Sony projection, Monitor Audio and Anthem, and Kaleidescape for film. We confirm the specification for each room at design stage.

Pricing

Pricing on survey. The price depends on the room, the package and the specification. We quote line by line after we have seen the space or the drawings.

Beyond the package

  • Folding MicroLED TVs: for a living room or cinema that wants a screen that folds away, see C SEED in Dubai.

  • Media walls: for the joinery around the screen, see media walls.

  • Whole-home control: many of our cinemas run on Control4. See Control4 in Dubai.

FAQ

Which package is right for my villa? It depends on whether the room is shared or dedicated, how far the build has gone and how much you want from picture and sound. Send us the plans or book a survey and we will recommend one.

Can I start with a Media Room and upgrade later? Sometimes. If the cabling, the equipment space and the structure are prepared now, a later upgrade is far easier. We can plan for that at the start.

Do you work with my interior designer and contractor? Yes. Most of our cinema projects involve a design team, and we coordinate the AV with them from the earliest stage we are asked in.

Does the package include seating? Seating is planned with the room. We can supply cinema seating, or work with the seating your designer has chosen.

What does a home cinema cost, and how long does it take? Pricing on survey. Cost and timing depend on the package, the room and the construction programme. We give you both after the survey or drawing review.

Do you look after the cinema after handover? Yes. We offer service plans and remote support, and we agree the plan with you at handover.
